Chief, Court Services Division
Chief Leonard Lovely has over 22 years of experience with the Passaic County Sheriff Office. Beginning his career as a Sheriff’s Officer after completing his academy training in 1988 at the first Passaic County Police Academy, he was assigned to the Division of Court Security. After several years there he was reassigned to the Division of Law Enforcement where he spent more than 10 years on patrol. He was later promoted to Detective and assigned to the Criminal Identification Division. He worked there until being reassigned to the Sheriff’s Intel Division, during this time he was promoted to Sergeant. He eventually was promoted to be the Sheriff’s Deputy Chief of Staff. After five years of working in the Intel Division and as the Sheriff’s Deputy Chief of Staff he was promoted to Chief Sheriff Officer of the Division of Court Security. During his career Chief Lovely has attended numerous law enforcement courses. Chief Lovely is currently attending the Passaic County Community College toward his Degree in Criminal Justice.
