In the event an inmate believes that he/she is not being treated or cared for adequately, the Passaic County Jail provides all inmates with a means to file grievances. All grievances are taken seriously and are handled within a timely manner.  Although the majority of all grievances are frivolous and/or unfounded, the jail administration fields an average of 48 grievances per month and provides an appeal process.
