On October 9, 2025, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office achieved a significant milestone by earning a three-year certificate of accreditation from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP). This recognition reflects the agency’s commitment to excellence and adherence to rigorous professional standards across all aspects of law enforcement.

The accreditation process evaluated the Sheriff’s Office in five core areas:
