When an inmate is transferred from Passaic County to either the Bergen County Jail or the Hudson County Correctional Facility, all personal property is transported with them.
Once the transfer is complete, all property-related requests must be directed to the receiving facility, which will handle the release or retrieval of the inmate’s belongings.
If there is a possibility that property is still being held by the Passaic County Jail, you must first contact the facility where the inmate is currently housed. Once your request is verified and approved by the inmate, a member of the Passaic County Sheriff's Office staff will contact you with further instructions.
