In Spring 2019, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office proudly introduced the AngelSense GPS Safety Program—a cutting-edge personal monitoring solution designed specifically to protect individuals with special needs, including those with autism, cognitive impairments, or other developmental disabilities. AngelSense provides families and caregivers with powerful tools to help ensure the safety and well-being of their loved ones, offering real-time GPS tracking, proactive alerts, and direct communication features.
What Angel Sense Offers:
- All-Day Monitoring: View every location your loved one visits, including arrival and departure times and transit speed
- Real-Time Mapping: Track movements as they happen and see the exact travel route
- Unknown Place Alerts: Receive instant notifications if your loved one enters an unfamiliar or unexpected location
- Emergency First Responder Alerts: Instantly share a real-time tracking link with preselected contacts or search and rescue teams during emergencies
- Two-Way Voice: Listen in or speak to your loved one with the press of a button
- Audible Alarm: Activate a loud sound on the device to help locate your loved one in a crowd or hidden area

Who Is Eligible:
AngelSense is available to residents of Passaic County who live at home or in a healthcare facility and have special needs that make them vulnerable to wandering or disorientation.
